Beeble

Working with footage you have already shot (SwitchX): changes the lighting of the whole scene and replaces what you mark with a mask. It does not paint in or erase, it replaces; everything you did not mark stays frame for frame, shape and motion do not drift.

What it can do

  • ✓Relighting a clip: a new light source, time of day, mood, while the scene geometry is kept.
  • ✓Replacing the background and surroundings around the subject: it separates the person from the background by itself.
  • ✓Replacing a specific object by mask: it is enough to mark the selection on one frame, and it is carried through the whole clip.
  • ✓Keeps the original pixels of everything unmarked: the face, expressions and motion do not drift from frame to frame.

How to get the result step by step

The order matters: a skipped step is most often the reason “nothing changed”.

  1. 1Upload a videoUp to 240 frames, about 8 seconds at 30 fps or 10 at 24. A frame no larger than 2.7 megapixels (1920×1080 fits). Longer or larger? Trim and downscale, otherwise the model will refuse.
  2. 2Choose a mode"Light and style only" repaints the lighting of the whole scene without replacing anything. "Replace the background around the subject": the model separates the person from the background by itself. "Replace an object by mask": you point out what exactly to change; replacing a specific item needs this mode.
  3. 3Mark the object with a maskA mask is a black-and-white image the size of the frame: black is what needs to be repainted, white is what must stay. It is enough to mark the object on one frame, the selection is carried through the whole clip. Trace along the outline: mark it with a rectangle and the replacement will come out rectangular.
  4. 4Give a referenceA picture of what the frame should become is the most important field. Without it the replacement will most likely not work at all. The reference sets what appears in place of the selection and how the light falls.
  5. 5Describe the frame you wantThe prompt is read as a description of the result, not as an instruction. Describe the scene, light and mood without the words "remove", "replace" or "add".

How to write a prompt

Describe the frame you want, not a command. Not "remove the box", but "an empty workshop, cold overhead light, glare on steel". Formula: what happens and where → what light → mood and details.

A prompt that works

(attach a video, a mask and a reference) An empty workshop, cold overhead light, glare on stainless steel, high detail

Avoid this

“remove the box from the conveyor”

This is a command, not a description of the frame. The mask decides what to change, and the prompt describes what the frame should become.

Examples

Relighting a clip

(attach a video) Cold blue night light, neon glare, contrasting shadows

Background replacement

(attach a video and a reference) The subject against an evening city, warm shop window lights, soft backlight

Variants within the group

  • SwitchX, Relighting, background replacement and object replacement on an uploaded video.

Tips

  • →Use a sharp source: on a blurry one the result is worse.
  • →You can refine the reference in advance: adjust the color and add the details you need, the model reads the intent from it.
  • →Describe the light specifically: direction, temperature, source.
